A CHRISTMAS Treat

Instead of sharing a card, I thought I would share a chocolate bar.  I love decorating candy bars for the holidays.  This is a regular sized candy bar.  Makes good stocking stuffers or just a little something to give.  All the products are from A Muse and you can visit my website here if you would like to look at our products.

I used Candy Cane Stripe cardstock, Petite Pin Dots cardstock in Cherry, Evergreen cardstock and Vanilla cardstock.  I also used the word window die set, nesties circles and the Holiday Tags Stamp Set.
Hope you enjoy the candy bar idea.
Have a blessed day!!!!

Poinsietta Card

Time got away from me over the weekend so I thought I would go ahead and put on another Christmas Card.
I used the new Poinsietta Die Cuts for this card.  I just love A Muse Die Cuts.  They are so easy to use and cut very well.  I am totally addicted.  I used our Cherry Cardstock for the Poinsietts and dabbed a little Currant around the edges to give it some dimension.   I also used my favorite, Candy Cane Stripes for the card.  I also used the Window Dies to cut out on the front of the card and put the Merry Christmas saying on.  That way it shows on the front of the card as well as inside when you open it.
Hope you enjoy the card!!!!

Another Christmas Card

This is a tri fold card done with a little bit of a twist.  It has a circle punched spot to fit the little Christmas Mug.  It was a fun card to do.  I actually got the idea from my friend, Sylvia.  She brought a Halloween card over that she had made so I did one for Christmas.

I used A Muse Candy Cane Striped Cardstock.  It is cut 4 1/4" x 11"  It is scored at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2".  Fold and crease the scored lines.  Fold the smaller flap down and punch a circle (the blue EK Success circle punch).  Unfold.  Fold the large end up and the smaller end down over that.  Punch the same size circle out of green cardstock (I used A Muse Evergreen) and glue in place where the circle is cut out.  I stamped the Mug from the Holiday Tags Set onto Vanilla Cardstock and colored with Copics and then added some glitter.  I cut Vanilla and Evergreen cardstock to make a border with our Border Die Set.  I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  Hope you enjoy it an take time to make something like it.
Have a blessed day!

It's Time to Share Christmas Cards

I have been doing a lot of Christmas ideas for some workshops and classes.  I thought I would share my ideas with all of you.  Most of the cards I have been making has been Pinterest inspired.  Not that I make my cards exactly like what I see but I do get inspiration and do my own thing.  I wanted to point that out since so many people go to Pinterest to look.  I actually use my Pinterest for ideas, inspiration and therapy.
The first card I am sharing with you is such an easy card.  I used the A Muse Stamp Set Cool Yule along with the Fight like a Girl Breast Cancer Awareness Set that was featured in October.  I'm sorry to say that set is no longer available.  I do hope they might bring it out in our next catalog...that would be great.  I used this stamp for all the people that bought it in October.  I used a circle punch and punched out a white circle to go over the loop part of the ribbon.  The inks I used were Cherry and Fern.  The star was stamped with Buttercup.  The card was done with our Sugar Cardstock.

Hope you enjoy the card!!!

Check back tomorrow for Christmas Card Idea!!!

Christmas Card with A Muse Breast Cancer Awareness Set

I have been trying to think out of the box for both using the Breast Cancer Awareness Set and also some very quick Christmas Cards.  Here is one of the cards I came up with:

I used the Awareness Ribbon out of the Breast Cancer Set along with the trees and saying from the set Cool Yule.  I punched a circle for my words and put over the awareness part of the ribbon.  Very fast and easy card.

Fall is in the Air Blog Challenge

I am hosting the challenge over at A Muse Studio Challenge Blog  The name of the challenge is FALL is in the AIR.  When we think of fall we usually think of leaves turning, pumpkins and the holidays starting.  I tried to think a little bit out of the box.  Below are my creations for the blog.  Don't forget to go check the Challenge Blog out and then make your own creation of FALL is in the AIR and link to the Challenge Blog.  I will be giving away a set of our Star Trio Dies.

My first creation is a large Hershey Chocolate Bar covered with our Buttercup Petite Polka Dots cardstock.  I accented with French Roast cardstock and Vanilla cardstock.  The stamp sets I used were Give Thanks and Bounty of the Season.  I used Memento Rich Cocoa Ink and Copic Markers to stamp and color.  I accented with Buttercup and French Roast Buttons.

For this card I used the leaf from the Wild Rose stamp set.  I used the finger daubers with Rialto, Pumpkin, Buttercup and Currant inks to get the fall foliage look on the leaves.  I stamped the Birthday Wishes sentiment from the same set.  The cardstocks I used were, Rialto, Currant and Vanilla.  I accented with Rialto ribbon.  Very quick fall card that could be make for any occasion.

I hope you go over to the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog and add your fall creations for a chance for the prize.

A "FELT" Challenge

Sometimes it is nice to use other textures with our dies for cardmaking.  Felt is a great idea and it seems to cut like butter.  I love using.  Over at A Muse Studio Challenge Blog that is just what we used for this weeks challenge.
For my creation for this challenge I decided to do a wedding card.  I love the felt flowers for wedding cards.  I also chose the colors of Onyx (black) and Vanilla (cream) for my card.  They just seem so elegant for weddings and you can't go wrong with the color choice.
Here is the card I did:

I used Onyx and Vanilla Cardstocks with an accent of the Sage Petite Polka Dots.  The felt is Vanilla.  The ink is Versafine Onyx Black.  The ribbon is the 5/8" Satin in Onyx.  I used the Elegent Elements and Essential Seniments Stamp Sets. Last, I used the Classic Scalloped Circle Nestabilities and the Flower Die Set 2. I also rounded the corner on the card and the matte on the card.  It is a very simple and quick card.

I hope you enjoy the card and hop on over to the challenge blog and enter to win a nice A Muse gift.

A litte RED, WHITE and BLUE

That is the challenge over at A Muse Studio Challenge Blog.  I decided to do a birthday card for this challenge.  Since the colors are red, white and blue it can be used for a man or woman.  It is such a simple card to make.  It would be great to make these as sets in different colors to give as gifts.

I used Navy cardstock for the base of my card.  I then used Sugar cardstock to do  my stamping.  I stamped the swirls from the Elegant Elements stamp set with Navy ink.  I layered a Star cut from the Star Trio Die Set out of Cherry petite polka dots.  I stamped the Birthday Wishes from the Wild Rose stamp set with Momemto Tuxedo Black ink.  I layered a small strip of Cherry polka dot pindot under the saying and added three of the sugar buttons.  What a fast and simple card.  I sure hope you enjoy it!

Have a Blessed Day!!!!

Summer Fun Blog Challenge

It is time for another challenge over at the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog.  We are doing summer fun.  You can interpret this anyway you like.  What do you think of as Summer Fun?  When I first thought about it I thought of Butterflies and Soft Colors.  Below is the card I came up with.

I have been so busy this whole month I think I just wanted something more calming.  Summer should be about relaxing and enjoying the days.

I used two different A Muse stamp sets.  I used Papillon and Hey, Man!  The background is just a beginner background of chalks done with a cotton ball.  I used a Martha Stewart Punch to give some dimension and added our 1/4" Organdy Polka Dot Ribbon in Bubblegum.  The cardstock is Sugar.
Another very simple and fast card to do.  I hope you enjoy it.

Don't forget to go over and check the blog out and enter your Summer Fun card.  You could be the next prize winner.

Have a Blessed Day!!!!

Another Easter Card..Pinterest Inspired

It has been awhile since I posted.  Time sure gets away from me.

I thought I would share another Easter Card.  This is made with the Egg-Stravaganza stamp set and Egg Position and Die set.  The little bunny is made from punches.  I also used the grass die on the card.   Hope you enjoy it!

Moving onto EASTER

I'm not a St. Patrick's type of gal so I am moving onto Easter ideas.  I love Easter and all the spring colors.  I had to move on and do some things.  I am in love with the Egg-Strvaganza Stamp Set and the Egg die and positioning plate die set.  I also love to decorate the "big" Hershey bars for different occasions and holidays.  Here is a close up of the eggs that I stamped and cut.  You will notice not all of them are perfect but in my stamping world...nothing is perfect in this world so why should my stamping be.  My classes love it and don't feel so compelled to be "perfect".

I used the Martha Stewart fringe scissors for my grass.  I love those scissors.  Although I love our grass die I think it needed more dimension on the grass so I chose the scissors.

Here is the candy bar:

I loved making these.  I did them over the weekend with a couple teenaged girls and they also had fun with them.  I hope you get a chance to try them.

Below is a list of the supplies I used:

Egg-Stravaganze Stamp Set SJEK006
Egg Die & Positioner Set  TAD0004
Essential Elements Stamp Set  SASU009
Gingham Cardstock (orange from assorted pack)  PAGHAST
Blackberry Ink Pad   IAPF702
Bubblegum Ink Pad  IAPF203
Ocean Ink Pad  IAPF602
Grass Ink Pad  IAPF503
Memento Black Ink pad  IMMP500

The paper for the candy bar wrapper is cut 6 3/4" x 8 1/2".  I only taped one side so the candy bar can slip in and out of the wrapper.  The grass is cut 1" x 6 3/4" and 1 1/2" x 6 3/4".  After I used the scissors I daubed some green on the grass for dimension.  Stamp the eggs as you desire and cut them out.  Place to your liking on your wrapper.  ENJOY!!!

Valentine Chocolate

Time has gotten away from me and I really wanted to share my Valentine Chocolate Bars.  There is not much stamping to it but I used several A•Muse products.

This is the large Chocolate bar that weighs a little over 4ozs.  I used the Bubblegum Heartbreaker Cardstock for the candy bar wrap.  It measures 6 3/4" x 8 1/2".  The border pieces are just white and black cardstock.  The black is cut 1 1/2" x 6 3/4" and the white is 1" x 6 3/4" and punched with a Fiskars border punch.  The ribbon is the Onyx 1/4" Organdy Polka-dot Ribbon..unfortunately it is out of stock but the Sugar or Bubblegum would work great too.  The heart is cut from our Heart Trio Die Set with the Bubblegum Sweetheart Cardstock.  I placed a pop dot on the bottom point of the heart and pressed it to the bow so it would stand up.

Here is a regular sized candy bar done.  The paper is Cherry Heartbreaker Cardstock cut 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" for the candy bar wrapper.  The black cardstock is cut 1 1/4" x 5 1/2" and the white is 1" x 5 1/2".  The ribbon is Sugar 1/4" Organdy Polka-dot ribbon.  The heart is cut from the Heart Trio Die Set with Cherry Sweetheart cardstock.

Both cards are stamped with "Happy Valentine's Day" from the Essential Elements stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Of course you can click HERE to order all of these products.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a great weekend!

New Beginnings....2012

It is a time for new beginnings.  Have you all thought about what you want to do in 2012?  I have thought about it but am happy the ways things are right now.  I can't think of anything I want to change.  We all have those little things like lose weight, make more money, etc., etc. BUT I am talking big things.  I am content with life and just want to have a happy and healthy year.

I did get to do a little bit of creating.  That always makes me happy.  I am going to be a vendor at a weekend retreat towards the end of this month so I was working on some ideas for a Make & Take.  The retreat is to raise money for Cancer.  The card for the Make & Take is to do with Thinking of You.  They can turn their card into the lady that is hosting the retreat and the cards will be used to sell for their cancer benefit.  Anway...here are three designs they can choose from for their Make & Take..or they can mix it up however they like to make their own creation.

All products are from A•Muse Studios.  I used the stamp set Wild Rose.  It has the border, vine, flower and sayings all in that set.  I used Vanilla and Blackberry cardstocks.  The inks were Blackberry, Sage and Memento Tuxedo Black.  The first card also has the twinkle embellishments on it.  You can visit my website here to order any of these products.  I hope you enjoyed the cards.  I enjoyed making them.
