My Paper Pumpkin

My My Paper Pumpkin kit came in the mail yesterday.  I was glad to see that little red box on my porch when I got home from running errands.

I made myself get a few things done before I opened the box.  When I finally got to that this is what I found:

The markers you see in the background of the picture are the FREE markers you get for signing up for MY Paper Pumpkin by March 31st.  If you decide you want to do that you can go to My Paper Pumpkin to place your order.  Remember to put my name, Rita Holmes, in as your demonstrator if you don't already have one.
After opening the box I decided to sit down and go ahead and make the card project that was in the box.  Here is a picture of the finished cards:

The kit had everything in it I needed except for the adhesive for the button.  It was simple and fast.  A great way to build up some finished cards for when you need one last minute.

I hope you enjoyed the post today and I hope you come back and check out what else is going on in my little corner of the world.  Don't forget to sign up to follow me by email.  Sure would hate for you to miss anything!

What Have I Been Doing?

It has been forever since I have posted to my blog.  Let's just say I was in a craft "funk" and really didn't care about sharing BUT  I have started a new adventure and think I will be very happy.

I just became a Stampin UP! Demonstrator and can't wait to share some ideas with you.  I have linked my Stampin Up! Website to my blog as well as showing the catalogs and all.  I do hope you take the time to check me out.  I would love to help you get more goodies to play with.

What I need to do first is share some photos with you of my very messy craft room and what it looks like after 2 1/2 weeks of cleaning and literally throwing away a TON of stuff.

The first set of pictures will be my before pictures:

Now here is the room after 2 1/2 weeks of hard work!

Wouldn't you say it looks a whole lot better?  Now it is time to get creative.  I hope to have something to share in the next day or so.  I won't have tons right now as I didn't have any Stampin Up! stamp sets....only some punches when I decided to do this.

For now I will say Bye!!! and hope you have a blessed day!  Thanks for stopping by!

TOMORROW is the BIG DAY

That's right.  Our NEW Holiday Catalog will go live August 15th.  There are so many great stamp sets, die cuts and new product in the catalog.  You can't help but like it.  You can click on the images in the side bar to go to my website to check out the catalog and order.  I would love to be able to serve you.

One of the NEW things we also have are digital images to match the stamp sets.  If you have a supporting cutting system that will take a PNG. file you can order the images (very reasonable) to use with the stamps.  Below is the list we have so far.  They are all out of the NEW Holiday Catalog.

These can be ordered with a regular order and will come to you via your computer to download.

I hope you enjoy the Holiday Catalog as much as I have.  Please let me know if I can be of any help to you.  You can always email me.

Have a great and blessed day!!!!

A "Different Fold" Card

Happy Monday to everyone!!!  Hope you had a great weekend.  We had a nice weekend and now time to get back to the week of busy!!!!

This week at the A Muse Consultant Challenge Blog we are previewing some of the new items in the Holiday Catalog which goes lives August 15th.  I have a couple of cards there as well as cards from other Consultants.  You may want to go and take a look.

Here is the Halloween Card I did.  I will list below the items I used and the paper dimensions if you would like to try the "different fold" card.

Onyx cardstock:  PAPS100
1 piece cut 5 1/2"x 4 1/4"
1 piece cut 5 1/2"x3"  Scored at 4 1/4" and folded on score line
1 Circle from Nestabilites...I used a cut out scalloped border nestie.
Orange Chevron cardstock:  PACV301
1 piece cut 5 1/4"x4"
Orange Petite Polka Dot cardstock:  PAPP301
1 piece cut 2 3/4"x4"
Onyx Petite Polka Dot cardstock:  PAPP100
1 Classic Circle Nestabilitie
Sugar cardstock:  PAPS001
Scraps to stamp three ghosts
Stamp Set:....SNSD081
Happy Haunting
Die Set:  TAD0061
Happy Haunting Die Set
Ink Pad:  IVFP082
Versafine Onyx Black
Watercolors & watercolor brush
Adhesive
Die Cutting Machine

Directions:
Adhere the smaller onyx piece of cardstock to the bigger onyx piece, adhering the smaller flap piece to the bigger piece.  This gives you the opening part of the card.  You then adhere the chevron cardstock to the bigger black piece.  Adhere the orange petite polka dot to the small onyx "flap" piece.  Next you can adhere the onyx petite polka dot circle to the larger onyx scalloped circle.  Cut out three ghosts using the Happy Haunting die set.  Stamp the matching ghosts onto the die cuts.  Watercolor the outer edges of the ghosts with green watercolor paint.  Adhere two of the ghosts to the black circle and the other ghost to the chevron piece of cardstock so it is peeping out from the circle.  Stamp sayings of your choice from the stamp set onto your card.  ENJOY!!!

I hope you enjoyed the card today.  If you need any help with the instructions please email me.

Have a great Monday!!!!!!

God Bless!!!!!
