Butterflies

With it being chilly here today.  What is with the weather?  It is the end of May and I just want it to be warm.  I thought I would share a Butterfly card.  I am so ready for pretty colors and to see butterflies and warm weather to come and stay.

I did see a similar card to this on Pinterest.  I used the Papillion Stamp Set, Lots of Dots Stamp Set, You're too Kind Stamp Set, Lime ink pad, Bubblegum ink pad, ocean ink pad and Versafine black ink pad.  I also used Sugar and onyx cardstocks along with with my score pal and a little bit of glitter for some blitz.  What a fast and easy card.  I loved it and it could be used for different occasions.

I do hope that everyone has a great weekend since this is the beginning of the Memorial Day Weekend.  Please remember why this Holiday is Celebrated and thank our Military and Remember those that have protected us and fought for us.

Have a safe and wonderful weekend.

My My I'm such a Blogger Slacker

I can't believe it has been since January since I have posted.  I am hoping that will change in June.  A lot of my volunteer jobs will be coming to an end then and will free up some time.
I still have been trying to get my business back up and running.  I have started some classes back up and even had a couple of workshops and done a couple other events.  All in all it is going well.
Today I am sharing a card that I have shared over at the Amuse Studio Challeng Blog.  The challenge this week is all about your favorite color combinations.  I love using our new grapfruit and wasabi.

Here is some of the products I used on the card:  Grapefruit Petite Polka Dot Cardstock for the Base, Wasabi Cardstock with the Scallop Border Dies, Onyx Cardstock with Classic Scallop Nestibilities, Papaya Petite Pinstripe, Sugar Carsdstock with Standard Circle Nestibilities, Onyx Petite Polka Dot Cardstock with Butterfly Trio Die Set, 1/4" Organdy Polka Dot Onyx Ribbon, Modern Zinnia Stamp Set, Southern Sass Stamp Set and Versa Fine Black Stamp Pad.
You can find all of this by visiting my website

I hope you enjoy the card.  It was fun making it.  The saying stamp set Southern Sass has some of the cutest sayings in it.  You really need to check it out!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!!!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner

I think I need to post something here.  Why do I let time get away from me?  Anyway the A Muse Studio Challenge Blog is back up and doing challenges.  Since I am on the design team there I thought I would post here also what our first challenge is about.
The first challenge is a Valentine Treat Holder.  I actually made a couple of little things to show.  The first one is actually a "card" treat holder.  I used our french fry box die for the candy holder.  You can also stick a gift card in there if you so choose.  I decided to add it to a card to make it more personable.

The second thing I did was a little candy heart holder made with the 1"x8" clear bags.  Very simple and a cute class party favor.

You can go over to the A Muse Challenge Blog and see what everyone else has done.  If you have some treat holders made be sure to link us to your blog to see your creations.  If you don't have anything made, you have time.  Our challenge will run for two weeks.

A CHRISTMAS Treat

Instead of sharing a card, I thought I would share a chocolate bar.  I love decorating candy bars for the holidays.  This is a regular sized candy bar.  Makes good stocking stuffers or just a little something to give.  All the products are from A Muse and you can visit my website here if you would like to look at our products.

I used Candy Cane Stripe cardstock, Petite Pin Dots cardstock in Cherry, Evergreen cardstock and Vanilla cardstock.  I also used the word window die set, nesties circles and the Holiday Tags Stamp Set.
Hope you enjoy the candy bar idea.
Have a blessed day!!!!

Poinsietta Card

Time got away from me over the weekend so I thought I would go ahead and put on another Christmas Card.
I used the new Poinsietta Die Cuts for this card.  I just love A Muse Die Cuts.  They are so easy to use and cut very well.  I am totally addicted.  I used our Cherry Cardstock for the Poinsietts and dabbed a little Currant around the edges to give it some dimension.   I also used my favorite, Candy Cane Stripes for the card.  I also used the Window Dies to cut out on the front of the card and put the Merry Christmas saying on.  That way it shows on the front of the card as well as inside when you open it.
Hope you enjoy the card!!!!

Another Christmas Card

This is a tri fold card done with a little bit of a twist.  It has a circle punched spot to fit the little Christmas Mug.  It was a fun card to do.  I actually got the idea from my friend, Sylvia.  She brought a Halloween card over that she had made so I did one for Christmas.

I used A Muse Candy Cane Striped Cardstock.  It is cut 4 1/4" x 11"  It is scored at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2".  Fold and crease the scored lines.  Fold the smaller flap down and punch a circle (the blue EK Success circle punch).  Unfold.  Fold the large end up and the smaller end down over that.  Punch the same size circle out of green cardstock (I used A Muse Evergreen) and glue in place where the circle is cut out.  I stamped the Mug from the Holiday Tags Set onto Vanilla Cardstock and colored with Copics and then added some glitter.  I cut Vanilla and Evergreen cardstock to make a border with our Border Die Set.  I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  Hope you enjoy it an take time to make something like it.
Have a blessed day!

It's Time to Share Christmas Cards

I have been doing a lot of Christmas ideas for some workshops and classes.  I thought I would share my ideas with all of you.  Most of the cards I have been making has been Pinterest inspired.  Not that I make my cards exactly like what I see but I do get inspiration and do my own thing.  I wanted to point that out since so many people go to Pinterest to look.  I actually use my Pinterest for ideas, inspiration and therapy.
The first card I am sharing with you is such an easy card.  I used the A Muse Stamp Set Cool Yule along with the Fight like a Girl Breast Cancer Awareness Set that was featured in October.  I'm sorry to say that set is no longer available.  I do hope they might bring it out in our next catalog...that would be great.  I used this stamp for all the people that bought it in October.  I used a circle punch and punched out a white circle to go over the loop part of the ribbon.  The inks I used were Cherry and Fern.  The star was stamped with Buttercup.  The card was done with our Sugar Cardstock.

Hope you enjoy the card!!!
